Family-owned and operated, Photography by the Addingtons is a photography and videography business. Location photo shoots using beautiful natural light are our specialty.

Having grown up in Asia and Europe, Mom, Diane Addington, became interested in photography at a young age. She joined the newspaper and yearbook staff at school in Singapore, and enjoyed capturing the rich cultural sights on the weekends. She continued studying photography at the University of Redlands in California, and was the newspaper photo editor. After starting a family, she became involved in the elementary school yearbooks for more than a decade. She casually began doing photo shoots for friends and family in 2007 and officially started a business in 2018.  She now has 40 years of experience behind the camera.

Rachel Mock became interested in photography in elementary school, helping mom with yearbooks. She became involved in yearbook in Junior High, and was the Editor in Chief of their yearbook before moving on to the High School yearbook and newspaper. She won photography awards for the yearbook, and served as Editor of both publications. Visual communications was her specialty at ASU, expanding on her photography knowledge and extending into app and website development. She brings 10 years of experience to the business.

Michelle Addington has been behind the camera for 8 years now. She was an editor of her high school’s award-winning yearbook. In digital photo class, she mastered Photoshop and the use of lighting for photos. She continued to return to her elementary school to help capture photos for their yearbook until 2020, and has always continued to do photo shoots on the weekends. She even helped run the elementary school’s after school yearbook club, and teach the students how to build a yearbook page. In junior high she visually documented her Girl Scout Troop’s Silver Award project for submission to Council.

We recently started delving into videography more, and have found that all the years of photography has prepared us well for this venture.
